Firefree Exterior Topcoat

Firefree Exterior Topcoat (FFE-5) is the second step in the Firefree Exterior System for Wildfire—a tested, two-part fireproofing system designed to protect buildings at the wildland-urban interface. When applied over Firefree Class A, this topcoat seals and reinforces the system, creating a fire-rated finish that resists both flames and weather.

The Firefree Exterior System is the first and only coating system to meet ASTM E84 (fire) and ASTM D2898 (weatherization) standards for fire retardant coatings. Together, Firefree Class A and FFE-5 provide intumescent protection that helps reduce flame spread, delay structural failure, and safeguard wood surfaces exposed to wildfire risk.
